Here it comes!

Hope everybody's ready for this Saturday! Here's my checklist:

  • Last minute body building (2000 reps of 400 lbs should get me where i want to be)
  • Lose 20 lbs (this shouldn't be a problem. after all, i've got all day thursday, friday, and most of saturday. that's only 300 miles each day of 17 mph cycling against the wind)
  • Rent aston martin to arrive at reunion in. (ok, a nice lexus would do in a pinch.)
  • Come up with interesting and funny fake stories about the last 10 years of my life (so i don't have to talk about studying, working, and watching way too much HGTV)
  • Wax my eyebrow. (make 2 out of 1)
  • Develop a british accent. (makes you seem smarter and more appealing. no one will ever know that i was raised in the boondocks.)
and plan B, if all that doesn't work out:
  • hire a professional model to go as me.

My life since 1997

Well, let's see....

After I made my grand exit from SCHS, I went to Motlow, MTSU, and O'More College of Design. Motlow and MTSU were unsuccessful wastes of my time, but O'More was home to me.

In May of 2004 I graduated with a BFA, which I do not use.

In June of 2004 I married Darrell Graves in Seaside, Florida. Darrell is a mortgage broker for First Financial of Tennessee and a Realtor with Prudential Rowland and Cobb. So, if you need a new house or refinance, call him!

Now for the most exciting thing in my life - We have a 2 year old daughter, Ava Blake.

Ava keeps me on my toes and laughing everyday. She is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me. So now, I guess you could say that I am a stay at home mom/wife/maid/dog handler/cook/ you name it.

I am still here in good old Shelbyville and I plan to stay here.

Dave Ramsey's Nightmare

Every day Dave's on the air telling people to cut up their credit cards, and here I am telling you that we'll accept them for tickets to the reunion! I'm not encouraging you to do it, but if you want the convenience, it's now available. It'll cost an extra $1.50 per ticket you purchase.

cards accepted:

Text from Invitation

Let's say you are running a large political organization and you received an invitation to your high school reunion, but now you can't find it because you've got so much going on. There's piles of paper everywhere! Reports, formal letters, 18-minute tape recordings... who knows what's covering up that thing. Or maybe your dog (or kid) just ate it. Well you're in luck because here's what the invitation said (invitation upper, response card lower):

Movie about Shelbyville

You may not have known this, but somebody made a movie about Shelbyville, TN. Not simply shot in Shelbyville, but actually about it and Shelbyville native Sandra Locke. Seems like there was someone in our class related to her. Anyway, it's called "Our Very Own", and the Times-Gazette recently ran a story about it here.

P.S. look carefully and you can see the courthouse in behind these aspiring actors.
