Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel with Sam Jack Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Movie about Shelbyville

You may not have known this, but somebody made a movie about Shelbyville, TN. Not simply shot in Shelbyville, but actually about it and Shelbyville native Sandra Locke. Seems like there was someone in our class related to her. Anyway, it's called "Our Very Own", and the Times-Gazette recently ran a story about it here.

P.S. look carefully and you can see the courthouse in behind these aspiring actors.

Finding contact info for out DNGWU list

If you know or can find some contact info (address, email, phone number, etc.) of some of the people on the did not graduate with us list, let's get an invitation to them because those people need to be invited, because many of them were a big part of our collective memories!

Fellow classmates,

We really need help in finding addresses for people in the class. If you know someone who was in our class but who hasn't gotten an invitation yet, please email me their name & address. There's a good percentage of people who we just simply couldn't find any info about. I know they're out there. I think I would be genuinely disappointed if some of the people aren't there.

I want YOU to join the Planning Committee

Are you creative? Do you enjoy planning events? Do you have a special skill or knowledge such as photography, audio-visual, music, etc? Do you like helping out for free? Then you might be interested in being on the Planning Committee! There's a lot to do and we're going to need a lot more help. There's everything from decoration to music to program events, etc. If you're interested, contact one of the class officers or an existing member of the planning committee. The only requirements are you must be creative & hardworking.

Additions to our old school

Our "Alma Matter" may be getting a face-lift. There is an expansion in the works which is purported to expand the cafeteria, gym lobby, and theatre. Maybe they can finally get rid of all the "portables." "Nah!," more portable classrooms will probably pop up before the contractors can even get all their tools packed up. Remember Coach Lewis and Health class in the portable? Here's the story from the Times-Gazzette.
